PROJECT DESCRIPTION:

This 2.1 kW pole mounted array is an off grid charging station for the electric vehicles at the Smithsonian Environmental Research Center. Using twelve 175 watt BP modules and an off-grid OutBack inverter with battery backup, this system allows for SERC’s electrical vehicles to pull up and charge their batteries using clean, renewable solar energy.
